Preorders

Many SAN MAHJ collections are produced in limited quantities and may be offered for preorder.

Payment is collected in full at the time your order is placed. All preorder sales are final and cannot be canceled or refunded once the order has been placed.

Estimated shipping windows are provided on each product page. Because our collections require multiple stages of production, quality control, international freight and final inspection, shipping timelines are estimates and may shift.

If there is a meaningful change to the anticipated shipping window, we’ll keep you updated by email.

We encourage you to review product photographs, dimensions, materials and descriptions carefully before placing your preorder. If you have questions, we’re always happy to help before you purchase.

Returns & quality guarantee

Because our tile collections are produced in limited quantities, mahjong tile sets and preorder items are final sale.

That doesn’t change our commitment to the quality of your SAN MAHJ collection.

Every SAN MAHJ tile set is inspected before shipment. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue and photos showing the concern. We’ll review it promptly and work with you to make it right.

Natural variations

Our tiles are produced in small batches using premium acrylic, engraving and printing processes. Subtle variations in color, engraving, print placement or finish may naturally occur from tile to tile or set to set.

These small variations are part of the production process and are not considered defects when they do not meaningfully affect the appearance or playability of the set.

Replacement tiles

We want your SAN MAHJ set to be played and enjoyed for years to come.

We maintain a limited inventory of individual tiles for replacements. If you lose or accidentally damage a tile after receiving your set, please reach out and we’ll do our best to help.

Replacement availability cannot be guaranteed, particularly after a collection has sold out or been retired.

When available, replacement tiles for loss or accidental damage may be purchased for a small fee plus shipping.

Because collections are produced in batches, replacement tiles may have slight variations in color or finish from your original set.

Shipping & delivery

Tile sets. Complimentary standard shipping within the continental United States is included with every SAN MAHJ tile set. A signature is required upon arrival to help ensure it reaches you safely.

If you know you won’t be available to sign for your package, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help with available delivery options.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information so you can follow its journey to you.

Other SAN MAHJ products. Shipping for mats, accessories and other products is calculated separately at checkout unless otherwise noted.

Processing & delivery. Preorder tile sets ship according to the estimated shipping window shown on the product page. Once a package has been handed to the carrier, transit times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

Please carefully review your shipping address before completing your order. Additional shipping charges may apply if an order must be reshipped because of an incorrect or incomplete address.

If tracking indicates that your package has been lost in transit, please contact us and we’ll work with the carrier to help resolve the issue.

Product care

SAN MAHJ tiles are designed to be played with and enjoyed. A little care will help keep them beautiful for years to come.

• Hand shuffle your tiles rather than using an automatic tile shuffler.
• Clean tiles with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Do not soak or submerge tiles in water.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners, alcohol and harsh chemicals.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat.
• Store tiles in their protective bag or box when not in use.

Light surface marks may develop naturally through regular play and handling and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Limited collections

SAN MAHJ collections are created in limited production runs.

A sold-out collection may or may not be produced again. Joining our email list is the best way to hear about additional availability, future production runs and upcoming collections.
